10 This was my third stay at Hotel Figueroa, and it continues to deliver a consistently great experience. The location is excellent central, lively, and ideal for both business and leisure in downtown LA. What really stands out is how the hotel feels like an urban resort. Despite being in the heart of the city, there’s a relaxed, escapist atmosphere that makes it easy to unwind. The design is thoughtful and full of character, giving the hotel a strong sense of place. The team is truly exceptional, real hoteliers. Warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about hospitality. That level of care and consistency is why I keep coming back. A hotel with soul, great energy, and a team that elevates every stay. I’ll definitely return.

10 This is, in my opinion, the best hotel on the west coast. Not the biggest, not the cheapest or most expensive, but simply comfort and understated elegance with a crew who gets it! Augusto, who has waited on us for years smiles, laughs and brings you a perfect order every time! Ron who greats us up front understands service like very few do anywhere. You never feel like you are asking for something hard even though it may be. From top to bottom, the staff here will make you feel special. To top it off, it’s beauty and cleanliness are top notch. The next time you are in LA…….

10 As a photographer specializing in true-to-color, editorial and documentary style, I found Hotel Figueroa to be one of the most inspiring "places for wedding photography in all of Los Angeles. We love an eclectic, vibrant city wedding any day of the year! I recently captured a wedding here, and it is the premier choice for couples who want an atmosphere that is elevated, modern, and deeply artistic, while hosting all of their guests in a beautiful space within the city for easy wedding weekend logistics. What makes this venue a dream for photography is its eclectic aesthetic and historic charm with the elevated, edgy, high-end modern upgrades. While the natural light on the tropical pool deck is stunning, the indoor spaces are where the property truly transforms. The rich, moody textures and bold architectural nooks along with tropical lush greenery are the perfect canvas for creative photography. The outdoor area from the lobby's restaurant space to the private pool area hosts a secluded, lush green walkway for the couple's private first look together. I love leaning into a high-fashion, editorial look here—using intentional lighting to create high-contrast, "paparazzi-style" shots that feel like a spread in a fashion magazine. The Parador suite was equal parts moody, vibrant, and chic, in the couple's master suite, along with the kitchenette area for hair and makeup, and even family photos when it started raining outside. The various indoor lighting setups—from the warm glow of the Casita to the dramatic shadows of the lobby—allow for a gallery that is both timeless and edgy. The venue team are world-class professionals who understand the flow of a high-end event, allowing me to focus on capturing those raw, documentary moments and curated artistic shots. For couples who view their wedding photography as a major investment and want a venue that feels like a piece of DTLA history with a fashion-forward, late-night edge, Hotel Figueroa is unmatched. I am already looking forward to my next gallery here! — Jules (Julianne Rose Photography)

10 Even though it’s been almost a decade, I do love the ‘new’ remodel. The lobby has such great Fung Shui and the curated art is off the charts and compliments the powerfully high ceilings. This is a solid place to journal, enjoy coffee and the best breakfast Burrito. If coffee is your thing, this is great at Hotel Fig and the very kind and fun Jorge will make you feel like you are truly at home as he has worked in DTLA since the 1980s and he is perfect in his position and happy to see him again and again. As a local, we appreciate the safety that Thi hotel fig provides and that its a protected oasis from the always-edgy DTLA streets. Thank you hotel Fig! You’re one of my faves in town!

10 I had an amazing stay at Hotel Figueroa. The hotel has such a cool, unique vibe, beautiful design, great atmosphere, and everything feels high quality. My room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The location is perfect and made it easy to get around the city. But the highlight of my stay was the service. A huge shout-out to Karen at the front desk! She was so friendly, welcoming, and professional. She made the entire arrival experience smooth and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. She truly left a great first impression and set the tone for the rest of my visit. I’ll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to LA. Highly recommended!

10 I recently stayed at Hotel Figueroa in Los Angeles and overall it was a very positive experience. The service was excellent, and the check-in in particular was very convincing—professional, efficient, and genuinely welcoming, which immediately sets the right tone for the stay. The room was not very large, but it was comfortable and well organized. The bathroom was quite small, though perfectly adequate for one person and functional for a short stay. In terms of location, it’s a strong point: the hotel is very central, right in downtown Los Angeles. That said, this is still L.A., so even for short distances—around 5 km—you’ll often need a car or taxi to move around comfortably. Breakfast was good, but it could be improved in terms of both product quality and variety. A wider selection—especially more appealing options—would better match the expectations of an upscale property. Overall, it was an excellent experience, but the price point should be slightly reconsidered. While it’s presented as a five-star hotel on paper, there are some service and offering gaps that prevent it from fully delivering a true 5-star standard. With a few adjustments, it could become a much stronger value proposition.

10 I stayed her for a conference and booked it without knowing much about the hotel, I was just thankful that there was a Hyatt property close to the conference location. I loved the decor and vibe of the hotel. It has that vintage and a certain level of sophistication about it, yet still down to earth. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was nice, but there was a distinct odor when I opened the door, but didn't notice after a few minutes, maybe it had been closed for a long time? Also, although, I didn't watch much TV, there were several channels that were unavailable for some strange network connection problem. I was hoping for better charging and connectivity for my devices, not a big deal, but I had to look for the power strips to plug into. Definitely, will come back to explore the area more and see how other rooms look since I did not experiencing any haunting, so I'm interested to see if that happens on my next trip.

10 We stayed at the Hotel Figueroa as a couple for a little getaway in LA before a wedding in San Diego the following weekend. We picked a suite for space to lounge between adventures through a busy week, and were so happy we chose the Fig! The staff welcomed us with a couple little surprises, and truly went above and beyond. I don't want to spoil it by mentioning what they were, but they were nice gestures that made the trip extra special. The DTLA location is convenient to most metro lines, between the 7th St and Pico stations, and is central in the LA region, making it easy for us to explore from the beaches to East LA. The room and bathroom were spacious and we appreciated the decor -- comfortable and attractive. It has a bit of a unique charm and style. The views, pool, lobby, and room all exceeded expectations. There is complimentary coffee in the lobby each morning, so we didn't have to use the in-room coffeemaker, although that convenience along with a mini fridge are provided. The housekeeping took great care of the details. I am a bit particular when choosing hotels, and the Fig did just about everything right. It was just such a treat, and a great value for the room rate (booking directly through their website). And again, as nice as the hotel is, it was even better thanks to the staff who made us feel happily at ease at every point during our stay. I absolutely recommend the Hotel Figueroa!
